Founder, CEO, & Guide

Bryce Bohne

Born in Minnesota, but raised in a travel-loving family, Bryce learned from a young age the unique perspective-altering value that comes from connecting in communities internationally. At age 14, Bryce participated in a cultural exchange in Guatemala and Mexico. Through this, and many others that followed, he developed a hunger for exploration and service, a passion to learn about diverse peoples and cultures, and a calm confidence in new places that comes from countless lived experiences around the world.

Bryce has always coupled his passion for travel with his passion for teaching and learning. Since 2000, Bryce has visited over 105 countries—formally studying in Chile, Egypt, Jerusalem (Israel/Palestine), Russia, Thailand, the United States, and Uzbekistan. During this time, he also taught in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Morocco, Nigeria, the Philippines, Switzerland, and the United States. He earned an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science, his first Master’s degree in Social Studies Education, and completed his post-graduate work to earn a school administrator license in Educational Leadership. He served as associate principal at an international school specializing in Arabic and Spanish for 2 years.

Even still, Bryce’s first-hand experiences have confirmed that sometimes the best lessons are learned from outside the classroom walls. This realization led to his creation of Gusto Trips and his subsequent successful organization of over 50 international experiential-learning trips for individuals and large groups.
